I used this kit to make a 6-foot long workbench. I made mine out of salvage 2x4s from a wall that I had previously taken down in my house. The only additional items I had to purchase was a 4' x 8' sheet of 5/8" OSB for the bench top and shelf and a 4' x 8' sheet of pegboard for the back, both of which I had cut to size at Home Depot, and some countersink screws to attach the bench top and shelf.

Construction was a snap for the most part. One thing to be careful of, which I initially overlooked in my haste (and had to trim a bit off several boards once I realized my mistake), is that the length you will cut the horizontal 2x4s to is less than the final bench dimensions by the width of the adjoining 2x4s. So for the 2-foot x 6-foot bench that I made, you need 4 sections of 2x4 cut to 17" (24" - 3.5" - 3.5") for the side members, and 4 sections cut to 69" (72" - 1.5" - 1.5") for the front and rear members of the main bench. I also needed one addition horizontal member cut to 72" for the upper rear piece. For the vertical members, you need two 2x4s cut to 66" (rear) and two cut to 34" (front).

Some steps would be easier with a second person, but I was able to manage it myself by propping the sections of the partially completed bench opposite the side I was working on against a wall in my basement. The self-drilling screws that come with it went in very easily without any splitting. No pre-drilling was needed until it came time to attach the bench top and bottom shelf. I used different screws (not the round-headed ones that come with the kit) for this step and pre-drilled/countersunk them so they would be flush with the bench top and shelf. I also installed a power strip on the rear bench top with a cut out in the bottom corner of the pegboard (that is just barely noticeable once attached) for the cord. Overall a very nice product that makes a very durable bench, which I am sure to get years and years of use out of.

This product makes for very easy construction of Sturdy Workbenches and Self-Standing Storage Shelves. I've purcheased several kits for the latter to add shelves to my basement and garage. The product is a little pricey, but you will be very happy with the way your projects turn out. The only downside is that a ton of screws are used in the construction, so have an extra battery charged up and ready to go for your cordless screwdriver. The kit does include all the screws you'll need though, so this product gets a five star rating from me!

The plans for this thing are online - go to the Simpson web site. Everything you need - instructions, diagrams - is there. It's a free download (pdf file). Buy the connectors at the hardware store - they're about $40. No need to buy the actual kit, which costs more, of course.

The build it yourself concept is terrific, though - you can make it according to your own size requirements, and it really isn't difficult. No difficult cutting or expensive pieces of wood.

These tie downs are very useful and should be easy to install but the bolts they come with are some of the cheapest things I have ever seen. I had 2 bolts that broke when tightening them. This is a bad place to cut corners and try to save money. Other than that, they work great, I'm just frustrated that i had to go the hardware store to get stronger bolts.

They are the WORST tie downs ever. I got 4 and each one the screw went halfway or more down the threads and then cross threaded because the threads are cheap and strip out. I was so mad and getting them out so they weren't stuck on the truck was just absurd. They would have been nice had they not cheaped out on making them so thin. To sum it up... They are cheaply made and are not worth any money.

They work- no sweat and keep beverages colder longer. They come out of the dishwasher looking good. My only complaint is that the rim is so thick which is probably so that a lid can attach to it, however no lid accompanies the tumbler. I'd prefer the option of a thinner lip.

This thing is big. Very, very big. Just to put it in perspective, and give you a clear sense of how big this tumbler is, it could probably hold about 25,000 ants. Or maybe several million grains of sand. Close your eyes and try to imagine 1,500 thumbtacks. Then imagine pouring those thumbtacks into a large plastic tumbler. This would probably be a good tumbler to contain those aforementioned tacks. My guess is that they'd fit quite easily.

The possibilities are truly endless, as this tumbler can hold liquids, solids, and yes, even vapors. I've tried all 3 phases of matter, and each rests comfortably within the spacious confines of this tumbler. Not only that, but the clearness of the plastic allows you to see directly into - and through - the tumbler. It's fun to see what's inside!

Finally, and perhaps most importantly, this tumbler doesn't sweat. I repeat - no drink sweat. Its double-walled, hermetically-sealed, vacuum-plasma-positron core prevents condensation from forming on the outer surface of the tumbler. Fill the tumbler with the iciest-cold drink you can find, and bring it with you into the jungles of Borneo, or a bath house steam room in Chelsea. It makes no difference. Not a drop of sweat will form. On the outside of the tumbler, that is. I personally sweat like a hippo in a humidor when I so much as walk briskly down the street on a 75-degree day. And that's why I admire this tumbler so much. It keeps its cool under pressure. I call it the Tom Brady Tumbler.

That I bought a 2nd iPAQ at a time when everybody is buying tablets shows how much I love this marvelous invention. The reasons are easily understood: smarts, size and overall convenience. You can do wordprocessing and spreadsheets and surf the net at hot spots or at home if you have a wireless router. It comes with an expansion slot for standard SD cards. Text input is done with a stylus; once you get used to it you'll be hooked and writing all sorts of memos and notes and love letters to the universe if that's your thing. Now for the bad news: HP has discontinued this line of products and finding one is very difficult. Too bad because here's a product that thinking people everywhere will appreciate.

I'm flying over seas with my son and this bag holds everything you need for a 4 month old. There are tons of pockets to hold everything you need or might need. I didn't want to get it at first, thinking a standard back pack diaper bag would be fine. I quickly realized that is not the case. A 40 hour flight with a 4 month old demands a ton of stuff!!

It comes with:
1. Changing pad- VERY THICK and soft. Super long. Super easy to clean. Fits in a couple different pockets in the bag.
2. Wet clothes bag- Big enough to hold a couple sets of outfits. Lined for no leaks. Easy to clean.
3. Pacifier holder- Velcro's to the side of the bag. Thick, flexible plastic material. Open on the sides for ventilation.
4. Wipes holder- Holds TONS of wipes! Has its own holder in the bag. Removable. Small zipper. Could be more convenient.

Diaper Dispenser- SOOOOO easy to load diapers in! You load the diapers through the zipper closure. Fits 16, size 3 diapers. super easy to pull diapers out. I suggest separating your diapers before hand so they don't stick together when you pull one out.

Lined bottle holder- Holds 6, 4 oz. bottles or 4, 8 oz. bottles. Opens very wide like a book. Could be used to hold breast milk or anything that needs to keep it's temperature.

Left side pocket- Holds plates, bowls, spoons, single serve formula (what I'm using it for)... Middle pocket is a little tight but still very useful. They're long pockets so not very good for short items.

DVD holder- Holds standard travel dvd player. There are straps on the sides to keep the pocket from falling open. Perfect for its purpose. The pocket goes all the way up the length of the back pack for more storage (books, DVDs, coloring books... anything long and thin)

Top pocket infront of bag- Pretty deep! I'm using it to hold my travel documents and such. Can hold a decent amount.

The bag its self- Has TONS of pockets!!! Two elastic hoops on the inside, perfect for linked toys. Thick metal clasp for keys or such. Big and thick zippers for easy open and close. Opens multiple ways (like a book, like a standard back pack or like a "tray"). Loops on the top for hanging on stroller or closet rod, are thick and sturdy. Very easy to unclasp and re-clasp. Mesh, elastic pockets on the outside are very strong and sturdy. Won't lose their elasticity through use. Plastic grips on the bottom to prevent sliding/slipping. The straps are thick and wide for comfort. one strap has a clasp, perfect for holding loop toys on the go. The other strap has a little mesh pocket for your ipod or small phone. The back of the bag is cushioned for added comfort. The bag, when empty is VERY light! Which makes all the difference for when it's actually full! The price is steep but, well worth EVERY penny!!
